School-Based Teletherapy for Idaho Districts
Proximity partners with Idaho school districts to deliver speech, OT, PT, school psychology, and special education through teletherapy — with the Medicaid documentation, scheduling, and follow-through that make it work in real schools.
What We Provide
How It Works
1. Talk to us. A short discovery call to understand your caseload, schedule, and Medicaid setup.
2. We staff and onboard. Credentialed providers matched to your students, integrated with your IEP and Medicaid workflow.
3. Sessions run through our portal. Students log in from school with a designated staff member. We handle scheduling, documentation, and progress reporting.
4. We stay in the partnership. IEP meetings, regular reporting, and year-over-year continuity. Our five largest district partnerships have been with us since 2021–2022.
What You Get
More direct care per dollar. Our teletherapy model cuts travel time and scheduling gaps, so a higher percentage of every minute goes to students.
Medicaid documentation that actually clears. Our providers document for reimbursement from day one — not as an afterthought.
Consistent coverage, year over year. No more scrambling every August. Our providers stay, and most of our district partnerships renew.
Working Together
Why Schools Choose Proximity
Founded in 2019 by a PT who was already among the earliest practitioners of school-based telehealth. Proximity has delivered 120,000+ sessions to Idaho students.
Providers who stay. Our therapists are W2 employees with realistic caseloads — which is why multiple members of our team are returning for their fourth and fifth school year with Proximity.
Districts that renew. Our five largest district partnerships date back to 2021 and 2022 — multi-year continuity is the norm, not the exception.
Built for rural and hard-to-staff districts. If your district has struggled to recruit a related-service provider locally, that’s exactly the problem we solve.
A real partner, not a staffing agency. We don’t drop a resume in your inbox and disappear. We manage the relationship end to end.
What Our Partners Say
Frequently Asked Questions
Does teletherapy actually work for related services?
Yes — and the research backs it up. Our model is designed around the realities of school settings: a designated staff member supports the session in person while the licensed provider leads it remotely. Students stay engaged, and IEP goals get met.
How does Medicaid reimbursement work?
Our providers document each session for Medicaid from the start. We can integrate with your existing Medicaid billing process or recommend one if you’re building it out.
What about students who need hands-on support — especially in PT?
Our PTs work with your in-school staff to design movement, positioning, and equipment plans that the staff member helps execute. We also do equipment recommendations and consult on environmental adaptations.
Do you serve evaluations, or just ongoing therapy?
Both. We do initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and ongoing IEP-driven services across all disciplines.
What ages do you serve?
Pre-K through age 21, across all IEP-eligible categories.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on caseload size and service mix. We’ll give you a clear quote after a short discovery call — no long sales process.
